More State Fair and Birthday Pictures!

When we first arrived we went to the garden area. People compete for best creative gardens.
And we found the pollinators!
Cotton candy really tastes best at the State Fair.

Atley got to ride on a cute little pony. She wanted the smallest one.

I tried to edit this picture but Addison and Alex got annoyed and wanted it kept with the background as it. :) Gotta love the smile!
TEA TIME!
The two in the front with the skin peeling off their faces are Alex AND Addison.
And Atley loved the Ferris Wheel. It was a bit tippy in Maine but she was quite please with this one.
MY NC STATE carmel apple made the whole day for me! It was a crunchy, sweet yet tart, crisp apple covered in carmel, chocolate and sprinkles. GO STATE! I can't wait for next year  to get another. 

Putt putt golf for Addison's birthday. Atley got 2 holes in 1, assisted by Rick.

And a little air might get it in and that doesn't count as a stroke does it?
Yes, Adder is looking for his ball in the tall grass! He never did find it!
And the birthday party had this ride on it for Addison and Luke.
This thing scared quite a few kids, but not Alex. He was not impressed. He says he's climbed higher rocks. Some of the kids in the group got off this quickly and looked a bit shaken. :)

Yes, Alex is on this. It is called the G Force or something really crazy. I was scared watching! That is all for now. Alex is looking for his SAT practice work, Rick is in VA, Atley and Addison are about to get ready for bed, and I am too!

It's already July 2017!

It is already July but I am putting in the last quarter again. Maybe this is turning into a quarterly update!  This quarter included our family trip to the Outer Banks. It was so great to see everyone. Then we drove to Atlanta. And life in-between.  Wet suits were not even a necessity on this trip! Sunny days and warmer water! I even went swimming a couple of days! This house had an amazing kitchen and we served up heapfuls of food! And our good friend Erin, came to visit us from Florida. She was here for other reasons but we still were able to get together for lunch! Former students getting married! Yup, I'm feeling a little old! The setting was so beautiful! And he drove the entire way home from Atlanta and most of the way there! Gotta get in the historical and nature places when we are somewhere. This place had both. Roswell is one fun town. October 2015

October began with TKD testing. Atley tested for her senior blue belt and this was a tough one. I didn't know if she would be able to test but she practiced and practiced and she tested! The forms are very complicated and there is so much to remember. I am impressed with how hard she works and how well she does. A bit nervous walking into test.. Sparring well is also a big part of testing...  She passed!!!! We are studying Flying Creatures this year so I organized a trip for her class to a 700 acre environmental education preserve and they designed a class just for our group! Hands on and very educational. And Melissa and Karl came down for a visit for a few days! Melissa brought tons of her old costume jewlery to share with Atley. And Atley is making a doughnut costume for Halloween. We saw this on YouTube and I thought. "we can do this." Addison's 14!!! His birthday was so fun! Thank you everyone for the car...

Maine 2017

We took a trek up to Maine to visit Grammie and Grampy Meehan and then we went to the cottage and saw Aunt Amy and Emily and Lila.   Eating on the pier overlooking a bay. Then eating lobsters...  Baltimore airport!  Onto the rental car...  I LOVE this farm!! Atley noticed 2 fish in this picture! Can you see them? Did I mention I LOVE this farm! I LOVE my baby too!!
