And On to the North!

Image
We made it to the Farm! We were able to spend very special time with Grammy and Grampy Meehan. We started with a picnic on the boat. We saw the loons, and even two eagles! But best of all, we spent time with Grammy and Grampy Meehan! They have an incredibly beautiful spot and lovely home! And we loved it!! It was so QUIET! I didn't ever want to leave! Grampy commandeered the boat but he let Addison take command for a little bit. Adder did wonderful at the helm! I love to see his smile! We also swam in the water. It was so cool and refreshing. We swam out in the middle of the lake and we swam at the dock... That evening, we went to the coast, just down the road, and had fish and lobster. And just up the road was a lovely ice cream store. With lots of candy and Maine souvenirs... Can you see Addison in the picture? The rocks!! The awesomeness  and power of the water was overwhelming. I kept hearing the song lyrics, "Mountains bow down and the seas will ...

Seeing Family

Image
Auntie Louis and Rick chillen' at the beach spot...  Aunt Jane also came for a visit! And she makes the BEST cookies!!  We celebrated Alex's birthday a little bit early. Grammy Joyce got an ice cream cake! We also got to see Rick's cousin Danny. It was so nice to see him and catch up. We all chased the car down the road as we yelled goodbye, in the Robinson tradition. Shared lots of great memories and created some new ones! Notice I am wearing a jacket! Yes, it was that cool!

Rick and his Dad, Grampy Brown....  And right away, we have to go look at the water! It is still there! Rick helped build this boardwalk many years ago. Rick grew up coming to the beach and even lived here on his own, before he met me!  The water is very cold! Much colder than NC!  But still we go in!  Taking the walk to the famous "Soda Fountain" and the "Variety Store" with Grampy Brown and Grammy Joyce!  Breakfast at the Soda Fountain!  And going to the Variety Store with Gammy Joyce and Grampy was lots and lots of fun!  Addison- smiling big! Like a kid in a candy store!!!  The Jetti...Jeddi...I don't know... the huge rocks!!  And Uncle Mike, Aunt Amy, Lila and Emily stopped by for a visit! So, we went to the Soda Fountain!  This is the first time Atley met a lot of family on this trip. Here she is with Lila! She didn't want them to leave! ...

Boston/ Part II

Image
Aunt Sue drove into Boston to meet us. We had some breakfast at the hotel and started the new day's adventure.  Atley with her blankie on Milk Street.  Here is another shot of the greenway which now has the highway underneath it. Rick must see something fascinating! Atley didn't want to let go of Aunt Sue's hand!  Going to the harbor....  We thought this might be for sun tanning but Rick and Atley did their "set" here!  As we wandered on, we came to the Boston Aquarium. They had viewing places outside that we appreciated.  Yup! Boiled in Boston! We saw more Dunkin Donuts in the 2 days in Boston than our whole life combined! Not really. But we started counting them! It does happen to be Alex's favorite shop!  Addsion thought it would be great to take the "T (the subway) so we bought tickets to go for a ride!  After several trains past by, with what seemed like 100,000 people packed on each one, we decided we ha...
