IT SNOWED!!!

Image
The weather has turned COLD this week! We actually got a bit of snow. A bit. Atley was so excited and woke up yelling for us to look out the window and see all the snow!!!! By the time we got outside it had already frozen on top. But it was fun to jump on the trampoline! We joke about Addison and his shoes. Shoes? He views them as torture devices. I want to get him a pair of the rubber "feet" shoes but he is growing so fast I don't know if I will. He went out bare foot and he actually came back in FAST claiming he was getting frostbite on his feet!! And he put on his shoes! And the bees....I went in the hive a few days prior to the cold snap and they were buzzing and beezin... I saw larvae at all stages, tons of honey and perfect laying pattern... so I am hoping the cold has not wiped them out. This is a precarious month for the bees here in this part of the country. We are looking forward to a beautiful week coming up. We just had lunch at Omi and Popos's. Alex, Add...

Rainy Days.... are good for cookies!

February 16th and lots of cold rain coming down. But that makes it really cozy being at home! Atley and I decided it was a day to make oatmeal cookies! Alex, Altey and I all decided we prefer the dough to the cooked cookies! I don't know, maybe we got about 5 cookies out of this! No just kidding! Really, we got several dozen! MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Valentine's Day and Upside Down...

So, what do we do? Oh, stand around on our heads! Atley and Addison have discovered the world from a new point of view! This is not like the push up game! We mostly stick to walls in the house. It was raining outside so we'll do our workout in the house! How about this? WHEW!!! That was fun! Now didn't you say we could go make cookies?? Atley's preschool class, at our Tuesday co-op, had a Valentines Day party. I had sooo much fun making her cards and bag with her. And she had so much fun trading all her cards with the other little children! Happy Valentine's Day!

TKD and A Walk in the Woods!

Alex is taking AP Biology this year. His class just dissected a crayfish so when he saw a pile of them at the China Buffet, he decided to dig in! He told us about each part as he ate it!! Okay, so these pictures are out of order. They are actually in reverse order as I struggle to get the hang of posting them. It takes me a LONG time to upload them and moving them gets tricky as I end up erasing them. So, this is Addison, enjoying the China Buffet after his award ceremony for TKD. He started only two weeks ago and quickly advanced to yellow belt and one of the best in his group. Running up to receive Yellow Belt after bowing and handing us his white belt. Here is Addison in the back row. I may be biased but I think he has the best precision and form. :) Last weekend it was a beautiful day so we headed out to Umstead State Park for a hike! It was one of Atley's biggest hikes and she held up very well! She has got stamina! And who can resist a tree with a vine! Stopping to pause and...
