Beach Trip 3

Image
I had to add this video of Addison at the pool last year. I hope it works. I couldn't stop laughing! Atley was doing a cover for her biograophy. She wrote "trampoline" but put hearts between each letter. Reunions are such a blessing. Uncle Pete and Aunt Karen drove all the way from the great state of Texas. It was so wonderful to see them and spend the week with them. We just love them so much! Yup. Time to hit the waves. Karen having a reflective moment on the beach. Or maybe she is just standing there  looking for shells. There were so many this year. It was so nice to just hang around and relax in the living room together. We did watch Les Miserables one night. What a powerful movie. I think I will watch it again. What a story of redemption.

Annual Beach Trip 2!!!

Part II of the Annual Beach Trip! We enjoyed such good food and company each evening. I won't type to much because a picture is worth a thousand words. Omi set us up with some good Italian music to dance with. When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore'! And Alex smiles big with a big heaping of whipped cream and some pecan pie! That's amore'! The extroverts were all dancing and the introverts were  happily watching! Kale chips anyone??? This might be our Christmas card photo! The waves were HUGE all week. Surfer Girl! Don't mess.  And Alex and Addison found the deer antlers! A couple of years ago, I offered a reward if they found me deer antlers. We hike so much and I thought it would be good for getting everyone to really look around. And they got some here in the wild dunes. Notice they were sawed off becuase they were still attached to the dead deer. Yup. They came home with them ...

Annual Beach Trip!!!

We left on a Saturday and met Uncle Pete, Aunt Karen, Uncle Karl and Aunt Melissa, Omi and Popop at one of our favorite beach places. We were way up north on the Outer Banks, walking distance to a huge wildlife area. We saw the wild horses again and much beautiful wildlife and we had a wonderful time building beautiful memories with family. Wet suits this time of year are really a necessity. The first year this darling got a wet suit. Riding the waves  and there were some big ones! Rick and his lovely sweety pie. Uncle Pete suited up and was ready to go!!! And lifeguards on hand! Happy Birthday, OMI! After the surf, time for the hot! Lunch time! And we have to make jewlery... Food? Chillin' out and this is so nice...
