We have some more photos from our trip! And some of the last days of summer!  Below is one of Atley's photos... She has a great eye... Here is the dock where I took my hour swim every morning. The cool, fresh water was amazing. And we went hiking on a trail that was initially made by someone in the early 1700's. It was hundreds of miles and we went about 2. :) Orientation meeting... That is a marshmallow... Atley discovered marshmallows in tea make it really good! Yes, he is that tall! The incredible view from our deck. It reminded me so much of Maine! And the hot tub...  Moving in to the cabin. They only stay here a couple of days at a time before heading out on next trip.  Sending off with our candy, but we divided it up first! The first weekend in Seotember, we loaded up the car and drove 6 hours into the mountains! We stayed at a remote cabin at the most beautiful place in the world. It was on Lake Nantahalah and the view was amazing. No cell service and it was so nice. We walked down the dirt road and saw this historic home for sale. As we we looking at it, an old man (about 90) signaled us to come in. We sat for while talking to him about the area and his life, then he gave us a tour of the place. It was so interesting.  After our cabin retreat, we dropped Alex off at OLD school where he will be until mid December. He will be rock climbing, deep woods camping, caving, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking and working at an orphanage in Honduras. The group first became  nationally certified as a Wilderness First Responder and now they are deep in the forest for 2 weeks now. We really miss him but we are so happy that he can to this. He will be getting certifications for several things on this adve...
