 So, the end of August is also Rick's birthday! I actually developed some pictures and put some in a neat frame for him. :)  Alex and Rick are working very hard on the shed. Rick only has time on the weekends and he also has other things to do on the weekends, so it is a big job in many aspects.  The Brown Academy officially had day one of school this Monday. Atley began kindergarten, although she has been learning all along anyway. We started an excellent math curriculum and she loves it. I do too!! And she is beginning to read and continue her writing. She is also taking literature and science classes at our co-op on Tuesday. On Fridays, she is in a theater company and will be in her first play in November. Addison is also in the theater. He will be in the younger company and the older company. Good thing he has such an incredible memory! And speaking of memory, I am amzed how quicly he memorizes his forms and steps for TKD. And the Summer is Winding Down...

The time is going so quickly and it feels like I have forgotten to bring  my camera to so many places this past few weeks. So, here is a bit of an update with some photos. We hit the ground running, after coming back from Maine. Alex and Addison both had their end of season tennis tournaments and both teams came in second overall. They both played hard and the teams really pulled together in many ways! Then we packed bags again and met Rick at Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. It is beautiful there with nature preserves all over the place. Atley loved seeing the palm trees. We were at a conference with Rick but also got to enjoy the pool and beach the entire time. Alex also celebrated his 15th birthday! We celebrated at home and since he got a tent we went camping at Shinleaf. Had friends, kayaks and waterproof tents so we were set. In TKD, Addison was promoted to GREEN belt. I can't believe how he can memorize the steps and moves so well. And he just started with ...
