June Already? Really?

So June has arrived already! We have completed our school year and now we are movin' on to summer activities!  We are switching to a more rigorous math curriculum so we are actually doing math and spelling over the summer, but for the most part we are on a more relaxed schedule. Addison tested for his Upper Orange belt and passed with flying colors. Here he is after receiving his belt and his certificate. He works so hard at TKD and is learning so much. We heard an Asian saying the other day, "10,000 times then comes understanding" and we are seeing how that plays out in TKD and so many other things in life.  

 Atley is cruising the neighborhood on her bike. She dressed her stylin' self and is looking so cool! I was talking to her about kindergarten and all she will be learning and she commented how reading and math will be easy! Way easier than learning to ride a bike or swim because you can't get hurt!

 We  purchased a birdhouse and painted it. It looks so beautiful in the yard. I hope  the birds agree!

 Lake Lynn, near out home, has a large water fowl population. They are so bold when it comes to bread! Much larger ducks than you would see in the wild.

Last weekend, we attended our good friend, Logan's, high school graduation party. He is off to college next year. So hard to believe! He homeschooled all the way though and loved it. Now his goal is to be a dentist. I thought the party was a big celebration of achievement for the whole family!

 The first week we went to the pool, Atley had it in her mind that she was going to swim. After a few hours she was floating and swimming on her own. She has wonderful self-determination.

 That is all for now! I need to remember my camera everywhere now!Alex and Addison both start up their tennis teams this week, although they are playing with different leagues so that makes it a bit tricky but praying they will be very blessed and bless others as well. I need to figure out how to upload a video so Alex can be heard on the piano. He rocks!
