April Days....

This is a longer post with more pictures. But hey, a picture tells 1000 words and that is what you want to see anyway! Here is Addison at the awards ceremony. He achieved the rank of Orange Belt. No small accomplishment. I achieved the rank of  yellow at one time and had to study so hard to memorize forms. I personally don't know how he does it!

 Friday afternoon, we headed up to Wake Forest. Addison took a 3 hour class on robotics. So while he was at his class, we enjoyed ice cream! 

This was the same ice cream that we used to get when Grampy and Grammy Meehan came to visit.  The place near us closed down but now we know where to get that Cotton Candy Hershey ice cream! So, Grammy and Grampy,  next time you come visit we will have some ice cream ready for you! 

Here is Addison at his class. (He is just looking at these pictures realizing what we were doing while he was in class.) He had a great time there. Great teacher and class. 

After we finished our ice cream, we went and painted pottery. Fun place. All of these neat shops, classes, skating etc... are in one building called The Factory. Yes, it used to be a factory back in the day. 

This was fun! Alex spreading the paint on the inside of the mug. It actually required quite a bit of patience. to paint these pieces. 

Here is Addison recording the scores for the robotic game. Robbie, his good bud, won. 

The next day, Saturday, Alex had a tennis match at Lyons Park. Addison had the best seat in the house in the house. He actually went much higher. 

And Atley and I headed to the playground while we waited for Alex's match to start. Here is Atley's new good friend.  Atley makes friends so easily and is filled with joy! This is her new friend, Janika. You would have thought they had been friends forever. 

And Alex ROCKED! He is really getting good. Lots of people commented on his game!

On the way home from tennis, we stopped by a huge DOG festival. Did I ever mention how much Atley LOVES dogs! She couldn't believe the place. 

Puppy heaven!! I really wanted one of these cuties so bad. OMI? 

And to top off the day, Rick played some tennis with our friend Randy, who happens to be a bit of a pro. HA!  

We had fun waiting because the playground was right next to these courts as well! Two playgrounds (and tennis courts) in one day! Whew!!! So there you have our Thursday night to Saturday night in photos! I didn't include our regular schoolwork and meals etc... As the school year winds down and the weather turns absolutely gorgeous, we are really enjoying blending our school work and time outside.
