And the summer is winding down.... What a wonderful summer we had. Here are a few more photos.
Atley went to several camps. Addison went to camp and Alex worked a lot at the Y and Paddle Creek. 



 Addison got a Go-Pro camera and took it to RidgeHaven with him. Here they are playing a fun game.
 AC in the cabins! It was a work camp so they also worked 4 hours a day, helping fix up and repair the camp. Addison loved the work part the best! He like the workout, the commraderie, and the accomlishing of something tangible and meaningful. Then there was time to play!

 When her week at New Life Camp ended she gave us a tour of all she did...

 The slide that went down the hill was a hit! And of course we went to the lake a lot!

 And one evening we went kayaking together. It was so peaceful.
 Atley's first time solo! She loved it!



 Addison is into mountain biking... a lot!!




 And we have our new BLUE belt! It takes a lot of determination and hard work to earn this.

 And we say goodbye to our friend, Sam. He just graduated hs and is off to Texas for AF training. Hard to believe how time has gone by so fast! He was just 4! :)

It's already July 2017!

It is already July but I am putting in the last quarter again. Maybe this is turning into a quarterly update!  This quarter included our family trip to the Outer Banks. It was so great to see everyone. Then we drove to Atlanta. And life in-between.  Wet suits were not even a necessity on this trip! Sunny days and warmer water! I even went swimming a couple of days! This house had an amazing kitchen and we served up heapfuls of food! And our good friend Erin, came to visit us from Florida. She was here for other reasons but we still were able to get together for lunch! Former students getting married! Yup, I'm feeling a little old! The setting was so beautiful! And he drove the entire way home from Atlanta and most of the way there! Gotta get in the historical and nature places when we are somewhere. This place had both. Roswell is one fun town. October 2015

October began with TKD testing. Atley tested for her senior blue belt and this was a tough one. I didn't know if she would be able to test but she practiced and practiced and she tested! The forms are very complicated and there is so much to remember. I am impressed with how hard she works and how well she does. A bit nervous walking into test.. Sparring well is also a big part of testing...  She passed!!!! We are studying Flying Creatures this year so I organized a trip for her class to a 700 acre environmental education preserve and they designed a class just for our group! Hands on and very educational. And Melissa and Karl came down for a visit for a few days! Melissa brought tons of her old costume jewlery to share with Atley. And Atley is making a doughnut costume for Halloween. We saw this on YouTube and I thought. "we can do this." Addison's 14!!! His birthday was so fun! Thank you everyone for the car...

Maine 2017

We took a trek up to Maine to visit Grammie and Grampy Meehan and then we went to the cottage and saw Aunt Amy and Emily and Lila.   Eating on the pier overlooking a bay. Then eating lobsters...  Baltimore airport!  Onto the rental car...  I LOVE this farm!! Atley noticed 2 fish in this picture! Can you see them? Did I mention I LOVE this farm! I LOVE my baby too!! Near the old ice house... Captain Atley! Atley and I have big ideas for this barn but we will have to do this in the south... Nothing like Maine! Missing Alex!
