Back to the blog! This summer is going to fast! And we begin school tomorrow! Actually, Atley started back last week and we had a lot of fun. Here she is at VBS. She had a great time with all her old friends and made lots of new friends too.
Charleston, SC is a great place to go for a romantic weekend. We loved the history of the place and spent time walking and reading all the plaques. They have some fun shops and restaurants too!
I don't know why, but whenever we are by the water here, I think of my grandpa- Grandpa John as Alex and Addison called him. He was stationed here in WWII and my Uncle Pete was born here. :)
Right next to the water. We were watching a ton of sailboats flying around.
And this is the day Atley decided to go into the deep end without help and there was no turning back! She stayed in the deep all day! And now has mastered the slide and the diving board- with no help! She can swim an entire lap alone now too!
Jolene is the little baby we are watching. She loves the water too!
And Alex won "hero of the day" award! He killed a big copperhead next to our house!
And Addison is now a BROWN belt! The joke was when he gets his senior brown belt they will have to change his name to Addison Senior Brown ! But he won't be there long! He works so hard and we are sooooo proud of him!
Took a trip to the lake with the middle school boys in one of the hsing groups we are part of .
And the next day, we went ice skating! A couple of weeks ago we were at a thrift store and found a great new pair of skates for a couple of dollars. So, I got them for Atley. So, we have gone twice since then! Can't say the rest of the fam are big fans of the ice. It is a very hard landing! But we went with her cuz we love her so much!
This skating day they had face painting!
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
