Autumn

It seems like once October arrives time goes into warp speed! And before we know it, Christmas will be here! We have so many fun activities in the fall. It is my favorite season and I cherish each day.

 The garden is bearing the last of its fruit.

 Atley was  a puppy for the party at Addison's TKD studio. Later on that night, she was a dragon. Trick or treating yielded lots of candy but it was cold out! Alex came with us and with the flip of his hair he was Justin Beiber!
 Abe Lincoln joined the party as well!
 The first weekend in November we spent the weekend at a friends place in VA. There were 6 families in our small group who went up to their "farm". They call it a farm and it is surrounded by farms, but it doesn't have animals. It does have a large, old house that we can all find a place to lay our heads. It is surrounded by beautiful, rolling, countryside. Have I already mentioned that I love VA? If not, I will mention it. I love western VA!
 Dominoes made for lots of fun entertainment. They built with them and played strategy games.
 A bale of hay and some bows and arrows also provide lots of entertainment.

 This is the area that was set up for target shooting. It was to loud for me, and all the ear protection was used up, so I took a walk. The pumpkins got turned to mulch.
 Alex got to go back to the farm this weekend with his high school youth group. He is tired today but had so much fun with his friends.

 This is the view on my walk. I loved the barn down the hill on the right. I loved the peace and quiet of the countryside.

 And Addison and Alex loved the go carts! I will attempt again to upload the video but haven't had success so far.

And a campfire to end the night! We drove home after enjoying hamburgers and hotdogs by the fire. So thankful for friends, family and the Lord in our lives.

It's already July 2017!

It is already July but I am putting in the last quarter again. Maybe this is turning into a quarterly update!  This quarter included our family trip to the Outer Banks. It was so great to see everyone. Then we drove to Atlanta. And life in-between.  Wet suits were not even a necessity on this trip! Sunny days and warmer water! I even went swimming a couple of days! This house had an amazing kitchen and we served up heapfuls of food! And our good friend Erin, came to visit us from Florida. She was here for other reasons but we still were able to get together for lunch! Former students getting married! Yup, I'm feeling a little old! The setting was so beautiful! And he drove the entire way home from Atlanta and most of the way there! Gotta get in the historical and nature places when we are somewhere. This place had both. Roswell is one fun town. October 2015

October began with TKD testing. Atley tested for her senior blue belt and this was a tough one. I didn't know if she would be able to test but she practiced and practiced and she tested! The forms are very complicated and there is so much to remember. I am impressed with how hard she works and how well she does. A bit nervous walking into test.. Sparring well is also a big part of testing...  She passed!!!! We are studying Flying Creatures this year so I organized a trip for her class to a 700 acre environmental education preserve and they designed a class just for our group! Hands on and very educational. And Melissa and Karl came down for a visit for a few days! Melissa brought tons of her old costume jewlery to share with Atley. And Atley is making a doughnut costume for Halloween. We saw this on YouTube and I thought. "we can do this." Addison's 14!!! His birthday was so fun! Thank you everyone for the car...

Maine 2017

We took a trek up to Maine to visit Grammie and Grampy Meehan and then we went to the cottage and saw Aunt Amy and Emily and Lila.   Eating on the pier overlooking a bay. Then eating lobsters...  Baltimore airport!  Onto the rental car...  I LOVE this farm!! Atley noticed 2 fish in this picture! Can you see them? Did I mention I LOVE this farm! I LOVE my baby too!!
