Christmas Season 2011



The month of December was BEEZY! We still had our normal activities and responsibilities yet added many social events! Between parties and cookie baking and decorating and all our holiday events, we also had full school days, tests and all!










My favorite evening, Christmas Eve, arrived and we shared the night with Omi and Popop enjoying spina
coppita, shrimp, ham with all the fixins, Russian Salad (my favorite!) and creme bruelle'. After that we started a new tradition! Singing Christmas carols in German and English together was most memorable! I think we did really well without even rehearsing! We then proceeded to open the Christmas gifts under the tree and was that FUN! Atley was especially excited to get the DOG she had wanted. No, not a real dog!


Christmas Day was relaxing here. We were

all very thankful for the thoughtful gifts we received. Alex and Addison have spent hours with their remote control helicopters and new computer and Atley has continued her cooking!







Two days later Grampy and Grammy Meehan arrived to spend 2 nights and visit. They brought Sarah with them! She is a cute doll that Atley was more than excited to get! Sarah Harah Brown now goes with us everywhere! We played games, hung out and had a good ole time!










After they left, we pondered going to the Outer Banks. We didn't ponder to long as we all had the same thought! Let's GO! So, 30 minutes after securing lodging, we were packed and on our way. Good choice!

It's already July 2017!

It is already July but I am putting in the last quarter again. Maybe this is turning into a quarterly update!  This quarter included our family trip to the Outer Banks. It was so great to see everyone. Then we drove to Atlanta. And life in-between.  Wet suits were not even a necessity on this trip! Sunny days and warmer water! I even went swimming a couple of days! This house had an amazing kitchen and we served up heapfuls of food! And our good friend Erin, came to visit us from Florida. She was here for other reasons but we still were able to get together for lunch! Former students getting married! Yup, I'm feeling a little old! The setting was so beautiful! And he drove the entire way home from Atlanta and most of the way there! Gotta get in the historical and nature places when we are somewhere. This place had both. Roswell is one fun town. October 2015

October began with TKD testing. Atley tested for her senior blue belt and this was a tough one. I didn't know if she would be able to test but she practiced and practiced and she tested! The forms are very complicated and there is so much to remember. I am impressed with how hard she works and how well she does. A bit nervous walking into test.. Sparring well is also a big part of testing...  She passed!!!! We are studying Flying Creatures this year so I organized a trip for her class to a 700 acre environmental education preserve and they designed a class just for our group! Hands on and very educational. And Melissa and Karl came down for a visit for a few days! Melissa brought tons of her old costume jewlery to share with Atley. And Atley is making a doughnut costume for Halloween. We saw this on YouTube and I thought. "we can do this." Addison's 14!!! His birthday was so fun! Thank you everyone for the car...

Maine 2017

We took a trek up to Maine to visit Grammie and Grampy Meehan and then we went to the cottage and saw Aunt Amy and Emily and Lila.   Eating on the pier overlooking a bay. Then eating lobsters...  Baltimore airport!  Onto the rental car...  I LOVE this farm!! Atley noticed 2 fish in this picture! Can you see them? Did I mention I LOVE this farm! I LOVE my baby too!!
